The UCY Hurricanes swim team will officially begin their season on Monday, September 29th and run through March. Swim team is a wonderful opportunity for kids of all ages to stay active and families to spend time together throughout the long winter months. Swimming is an excellent physical activity that has no impact and is very easy on the joints of youth. The team competes together but every swimmer swims against themselves and the clock. This is an occasion for both competitive and noncompetitive athletes to enjoy an organized sport. UCY Hurricanes is one of the longest seasonal programs at the YMCA. So come be a part of the fun and splash into the UCY swim team today! The team is open to anyone ages 4 – 18 years old with the ability to swim 25 yards (one length of the pool) freestyle and backstroke. Team members must hold a current Union County Family YMCA membership.

Practices begin September 29th and will be Monday – Saturday depending on age group.

Fee: $350Includes: pool time, coaching representation at meets, team cap, team t-shirt and $75 toward meet fees.
