Swim Team
The UCY Hurricanes swim teasm begins their season on Monday, September 28th and will run through March, Kids of all ages can stay active and families can spend time together throughout the long winter months. Swimming is an excellent physical activity that is very easy on the joints of youth. The team competes together but every swimmer swims against themselves and the clock. This is an occasion for both competitive and noncompetitive athletes to enjoy an organized sport. The team is open to anyone 4 – 18 years old with the ability to meet the entry-level requirements. Team members must hold a current Union County FamilyYMCAmembership.
Practices begin September 28th and will be Monday through Saturday depending on age group.
Yellow Group - 1 weekly practice, home meets and championship
meet. Fee: $175 plus $25 escrow payment
Green Group - 3 - 4 weekly practices and participate in all home
meets, championship meet. Fee: $275 plus $75 escrow payment
Red Group - 5 weekly practices and participation in all meets and
championships. Fee: $325 plus $75 escrow payment
10 and under 5:15 – 5:45 PM ..................... 11 and over 5:45 – 6:15 pm
These educational days are an excellent opportunity to see what the UCY swim team is all about. Interested participants can experience the lap swimming, team atmosphere and coaches of the swim team. Participants can get their feet wet and if they like it, join the team. Entry-level requirements are enforced.
